15 hours entitlement for 3 & 4 year olds
All children from 3 years of age are entitled to 15 hours of funded Nursery provision. At Sharples Nursery, this can be taken as 3 hours a day (Morning or Afternoon session) or as full days or a combination of both. Additional hours can also be paid for at the cost of £4 per hour.
30 hours extended entitlement for 3 & 4-year-olds
The 30 hours extended entitlement for 3 & 4-year-olds (for 38 weeks per year) was introduced by the Government in September 2017.
This is an entitlement that will support working parents who work a minimum of 16 hours per week and whose individual salaries are under £100,000.
It may also apply to those parents who are on maternity, paternity, shared parental or adoption or statutory sick leave and in situations where one parent meets the income criteria and the other is unable to work due to disabilities, caring responsibilities or has been assessed as having limited capability to work.
This funding starts from the term after a child’s third birthday. To be able to access this funding, you need to complete the information on the Bolton Council website (https://www.bolton.gov.uk/freechildcare) and provide the school with your unique 30-hour code.
