Welcome to Nursery

Sharples Nursery is a term time Nursery class that is integrated within Sharples Primary School. Our Nursery provides high quality education and care in a fun and engaging environment where play is at the heart of what we do. The experienced and skilled staff in Nursery support children in their development in all areas of learning as well as encouraging life skills such as confidence, independence, perseverance and resilience. We offer full and part time places for children aged from 3.

Nursery vision and ethos

Play is at the heart of our curriculum. Through the seven areas of learning we provide first hand learning experiences that excite and engage all children, building on own interests and developing their experiences of the world around them. We recognise that all children come into our setting with varied experiences and all staff work hard to ensure that the learning opportunities provided widen their knowledge and understanding of the world, setting ambitious expectations for all children.

Starting Nursery

If your child has already been offered a place in our Nursery, we are looking forward to meeting you. We will contact you in the term before your child is due to start to arrange visits to come and meet the staff and become familiar with the Nursery environment.
