This week in Nursery:
Our Week in Nursery 28.03.2025 –
This week Nursery have been learning all about Ramadan and Eid. We have made Eid decorations for our class and Eid cards to bring home. We have also been creating some special cards for Mother’s Day and planting a flower for our lovely mums. On Wednesday we had a great day in the forest. There was so much independent learning in action: demonstrating curiosity, teamwork, problem solving and risk taking. In our pre-phonics sessions we have been playing lots of rhyming games. We are getting really good at saying rhyming strings and some of us can now add our own rhyming words to these. This shows a super understanding of rhyme.
Our number of the week is 4 and we have sung the rhyme (to the tune of ‘Skip to my Lou’) using the scarves to form the numeral. We then had a go at writing the number too.
Next Wednesday is our Eid party. Children can come to school in their own clothes on this day. School closes at 2pm on Friday 4th April for the holidays. We are back in school on Tuesday 22nd April.
Eid Mubarak to all who are celebrating this weekend. Wishing you and your families a joyous and blessed Eid. We would love it if you could add photos of your celebrations on Tapestry so that the children can share these with their friends. Have a lovely weekend, Miss Hamer and the Nursery team.
